share extensions is on its face less intuitive name than cast actions given mini apps can use these for all sorts of actions I still think it's a good name: - follows an iOS UI pattern — the idea you're sharing some resource to an app and that app let you take some arbitrary action on it has precedent - share extension makes it clear to the user they are accessed from the share menu - usage is low to the point of not justifying its own button so moving into the share sheet is a nice simplification for feed UI simplification - new users will naturally stumble upon once they add a mini app and share a cast instead of needing to click an unrecognizable icon - cast actions with a dedicated button was also unintuitive and confusing for many users

I agree, this UX moment is a rare case in which the icon (little box with an arrow going out) communicates the scope better than the proper name or action ("Open share menu")
