Decentralized social media should be built differently: πŸ›‘ Not around engagement rates πŸ›‘ Not around vanity metrics βœ… But around real outcomes It should be a space where people: βœ… Learn new things βœ… Build new things βœ… Organize IRL meetups βœ… Push ideas forward A tool for productivity and purpose β€” not distraction. Let’s stop copying traditional platforms. Let’s build something better πŸš€πŸš€πŸš€

ngl supercast had a path to becoming an incubator for such people. self selecting, more about honing ideas than chasing them. same with openventures. the ownership and innovative ideas promised by decentralized social media: will more likely emerge out of a scenius, than be engineered to sit at the top of an algo leaderboard that is tuned to appeal to come-get-paid newcomers

is this a "real outcome" though? I think the hope now is that a creator economy emerges from this bootstrapped money sloshing around. Stage 3: attractive people sharing content (prolly about vibe coding), and people naturally skilled at engagement use the latest ChatGPT to entertain each other We used to hope: Stage 1: Petri dish of hungry builders without gatekeeping, and VCs looking for low-noise high-alpha environments, would produce decentralized YC Stage 2: Degen + Frames. No need for VCs when magic internet money can do it better! The hot ball of shitcoin money would support multiple devs to build multi-year sustainable projects. Maybe on Degen L3 chain, maybe purely native on FC Stage 2.5: Moxie was "come get paid and spread the love by rolling your airdropped value into other fan tokens" Note that in the current Stage 3 meta, there's very little Ownership of an asset, or sharing of upside for taking early risk. There is however pure ownership of your public identity, which remains portable
