three important lessons from today’s race: 1. look up the altitude map before. it had very intense ups and downs 80% of it. i was not prepared for that and didnt have a strategy 2. don’t run with hoodie. gave a hug to a coach friend on the finish line and she told me this before saying congratulations lol 3. be mindful of the consequences that coffee has in my running practice. i drank two in the morning today before the race and it could be that it raises my heart rate more than what’s helpful. how do you regulate this? what’s your experience around it? overall felt very solid. no pain in my body which is great. felt a bit hard to breathe consistently in a controlled rhythm, probably because im not used to run for long times at this pace (averaged 4:41 for a total time of 22:57) happy and proud overall. looking forward to the next one

You ran with a hoodie? 😱😱 What was the temp? Btw caffeine increases your Bpm. This is why I don’t use gels that contain caffeine anymore. Only carbs.

I don’t run 42k anymore. Too draining for me. It’s definitely not my distance. But I would go for 1 every 7 km
