Sprints can be dangerous: When speed overshadows strategy — In my opinion, more time was needed to develop a rebranding that truly lived up to the brand’s iconic status. Maybe, over time, we’ll get used to the new Farcaster Arch—though now it looks less like an arch and perhaps more like something else. Change is always complex at first, and with time, this could turn out to be a good move. But maybe we also need to rethink the idea of sprints in branding. Is it really wise to expect that just one week of work can support and represent a brand idea for years to come? The truth is that while design sprints offer energy and speed, they often fall short of addressing the bigger picture in branding. Rushing through a process intended to define a brand’s long-term identity risks missing deep research, broad perspective, and careful iteration. Only time will tell if this rebranding proves to be truly enduring or just a fleeting trend...

As I’ve already mentioned here and in an interview for the /design channel... I would have loved to be part of a team of designers who are active on Farcaster. To run a Brand in Public process — showing all the evolution, the options, the paths taken, and opening it up so that it becomes an open-source /brand3 that others can transform. Something similar to what we did with the brand system /fos by @floc … https://farcaster.xyz/floc/0xddc1117b
