i hear my normie friends talking about money and the issues they are having with it and have a strong urge to tell them that not buying ethereum at this point is irresponsible but i don’t want to be the one that brings them into crypto anymore

Strong disagree. A person with money issues should not be looking to crypto as a salvation. They should be generating income through a job or a business. Any time a friend has made good money in crypto and wants to quit everything to become a full time trader, I remind them that the people that make a living from this are either hyper focused people that live and breathe it, often with serious software backing them, or professionals that get paid to do it. Anything else is a great way to put someone through a terrible emotional wringer

And then it goes down and they panic sell and then blame you personally. Been there, done that. It's best not to mention anything to do with crypto if they are already having money issues

I rarely talk about crypto with normies. In fact, I only have a friend that I talk with about crypto. My cousin mentioned that he invested in Ethereum, but sold all of it because they had to use the money for emergencies. I feel that if I bring normies or even my family, that they will blame me if they get rug pulled or wallet drained. How often do you bring crypto as a topic to talk about?

It’s definitely a tough battle. I remember at the last cycle top some of my buddies were asking me about Ethereum and buying it themselves and now when I share that my btc etfs have had a greater return from a dec 2024 buy than 2.5 years of the S&P they still want nothing to do with it Everyone will buy crypto at the price they deserve

I feel you! But i NEVER recommend crypto to normies unless they ask and then i tell them that it's NFA. Very risky recommending crypto..
