This argument is everywhere and makes no sense. The violent displacement thing applies to almost every country.

By this logic, every parcel of land on the planet should be owned by who made it there first, which in this case would still be Israel. 

The reality is humans have primitive warmongering tendencies, to the victor go the spoils blah blah, Britain took the land and gave it to Israel and Israel battled and expanded it. There’s no angle where your logic checks out
