Stories unite us -- they give us shared narratives that make reality and its infinite mysteries coherent

So what happens when AI gives everyone on-demand stories uniquely tailored to them?

We lose the last shared fabric. Then we will reinvent bards / storytellers once again (but not before a period of great incoherence)

The first phase is shaping right now, where we will tell all the stories that are deep within that we never had the resources to bring to light. AI is unlocking this. I was just tinkering with the new MidJounrey video and whoah. You can make your own anime series now... 

Then, the second phase will be the fully curated to each person, some will opt in and some out. The greater divides to connection across the world will take place. We  already have problems with loneliness. But imagine if every receptor in your brain can't tell the difference of "real" conmection vs. engineered? 

Third we come full circle to even more engaging ways to connect and share stories since as you said this is part of what makes the tapestry of humanity unite.
