There’s a new VR trend called “fan games”. Some VR games like Gorilla Tag have open-sourced their games so players can remix them. This is so popular that 90% of uploads to SideQuest are Gorilla Tag fan games made by teens. Some fan games make millions. I believe fan games are the future of VR gaming

There are currently problems with VR fan games: 1) Hard to publish 2) Using free multiplayer tools limits scale 3) no shared backend allowing for monetization/scale Throwback Studios is building a solution for these problems. More to come.

Rec Room custom rooms and games have come a long way. Hadn’t tried it in a few years and was impressed to see what people have built with their tools.
