I need a cost-effective device that I only use for reading. Books, articles, PDFs, etc. Must be able to sync with Readwise relatively easily, and must not easily distract me with non-reading activities.

what is cost effective? i somewhat timidly (w a very loose definition of “cost effective” lol) preordered the daylight for exactly this reason i essentially wanted a kindle with readwise + article integration. daylight seemed pretty damn close *preordered in ~Nov; delivery just got pushed from Feb -> April

i’m expecting to pay $150-$400, Daylight prob too pricey but if that’s what it comes to I’ll buy haha

that’s what i’d hoped for but mostly found options for writing (remarkable) or books but no readwise (kindle) even thought about dumbing down an old ipad: greyscale, ~no apps, etc in the end decided trying to fit a square peg in a round hole wasn’t worth the hassle of saving a few hundred $. TBD if that was a mistake
