sometimes it’s best to keep your goals to yourself until you hit them and sometimes you won’t take yourself seriously until you say what you want to do out loud to a friend

Weirdly enough, every time I’ve shared my goals or talked about a plan with someone, things just fall apart, no clear reason, it just … doesn’t work out, starting to feel like some things grow better in silence

I once heard that recurring talk about plans and goals has a procrastination factor—that through repetition, the energy behind ideas can diminish on the path to action. In the other hand, talking certain things out loud in front of friends has always come from an emotional place to me, either to ease or reinforce something happening inside or around me, with the goal of making it feel real and true; but above all, to learn how to adopt an attitude that allows me to accept it with humor. This way, I learned to laugh at myself and put things into perspective so I wouldn’t take myself too seriously sometimes. Hope these words make any sense and it is not only my jet lag after FarCon taking over 😅
