19-year-old Darya Kozyreva was sentenced to two years and eight months in prison for posting a poem by Taras Shevchenko on the poet’s monument. Kozyreva did not plead guilty and stated in court: “I am not guilty, my conscience is clear. Because the truth is never guilty.”
