I'm old enough to remember when the 'crypto' community shared events/stages alongside Mastodon, Scuttlebutt, Beaker browser devs. It was all just the 'Dweb' and we all got along

I also think that crypto/web3 could also be called the fifth political state. third estate replaces fourth estate w/ Internet, and third replaces second estate with crypto codeslaw (not implemented for most part).

NFTs are probably best seen through reddit's distribution method. otoh I don't think we've designed NFT mechanisms that aren't for private ownership yet secure some IRL custodial mechanism. tbh account abstraction is still missing.
