maybe there's more to this and I'm being too spicy but am I the only one who feels like the new cb wallet app is sort of vampire attacking the farcaster client? maybe it's by design? from afar it feels very odd, especially given double notifications, double places to reply, etc. not a normal pattern I guess

the whole point of @farcaster is to be an open protocol that has multiple clients. we've spent the last 3 years contributing to @farcaster across every part of the base team and now we're building the second scaled client for it. the goal is to take all of our resources and energy and insights and massively grow the pie of who's using onchain social products. so proud and grateful to be building alongside @dwr.eth, @v, and their whole team. still day one.

I get the idea, but what happens if coinbase wallet becomes the premier UI/UX for farcaster the protocol? I just wonder what happens to farcaster in that case, as I believe their business is better suited to also have a client Mostly just acknowledging it's a very interesting concept to see play out that's not very common unless you go back to like, early 2000s protocols like XMPP days but even with XMPP it was all about a fight for client adoption

their client becomes more valuable because the network is way bigger. the clients find ways to complement each other and work together. there will be some competition but the pie is tiny right now and we can get much further by going together.

+1 on this the original purpose iirc of FC is to be a general purpose social graph that can power opinionated front ends TBA taking it, running with it, and potentially onboarding tons of users onto crypto/FC with is it literally the purpose! Mind you TBA is possibly the first of many successful front ends that may end up bringing FC to the masses So to that end, if TBA succeeds - FC succeeds - and so may many more front ends

I always wanted to design apps that were crypto/NFT focused that had like an IG type feel, and then I found Warpcast, now renamed back to Farcaster. Hearing about TBA and what is going on it always seemed like this was a way to onboard more people to web3/decentralized services. As you mentioned before the Amazon of crypto. (I may not have nailed it exactly as you worded it but I think you know what I am referencing.) There are endless possibilities. It reminds me of the cellphone industry at the turn of the century. There were so many people not using a cellphone, and most people used it for an "in case of emergency" only. Then the push of cellphones with interchangeable parts, then the introduction of midi ringtones, then the introduction of smartphones, and cameras, and games. Next thing you know everyone had a mobile phone, the next wave smartphones, and so on. All of this and dare I say we are on the precipice of something great here!
