Again, I think you're viewing "memecoins" in too narrow a way. Memetic value doesn't just include attention, it also represents other intangible values like belief, community, participation, trust etc. We need new definitions to capture this distinction. (Scenecoin is our attempt at this)

I agree that those values are important to account for but how do you create a positive-sum system around that? Tips can't last forever To be clear, I don't think memecoins (or scenecoins) are inherently bad, I just think there will be a few winners and a lot of losers (same as NFTs)

thats why I think only a meme is insufficient. Meme + mechanism is what will ultimately win out. More broadly, the market for memecoins will grow. It's under $100b today and I believe it will easily 10x that in the years to come. Yes some will win and lose, but the pie is growing.
