Hey guys, so I feel like this is the only platform that I can be vulnerable on, one martini in.

I lost my faith in Christianity months ago when I found out that before male centered religions dominating that goddess worship dominated 

and that the top (patriarchal) religions paint women to be the fall of humanity from the start. 

I used to be a huge Christian until I learned this. Majority of my friends and close family still are. But I try not to spread my “hedonism” or deny the Lord in front of them in case there is still hope in Christianity and in salvation. A lot of Christian beliefs are still embedded in me, and so my belief is in a rocky place, where I don’t believe and I’m still afraid to “curse the Lord and die.”

I still believe in a creator. I believe this world is too miraculous to be made without intention, but I can’t wrap my mind around the fact that the creator has a gender, and that he is a man. Or that “she” would even be a woman. it all just seems unfair and biased.

I believe that religion is merely a framework to help the human mind to grasp that there is a higher power and to help us to understand how to treat one another. 

All religions essentially teach us the same thing when you boil them down to the fundamentals. 

Take the lessons from religion and try not to get too bogged down in the details.

I think people are the problem as oppose to the religion. If you actually read the teachings of most religions it’s hard to find anything to disagree with.

TLDR of most religions tends to be - “don’t be a dick”

not religious myself, but some are worse than others.  I probably said the quiet bit out loud, awaiting the dog pile 😂

Yes I agree with you. Many of those who are the most outspoken and claim to be the most pious do not actually live by the values that their religion teaches.

In almost all religions today, the main purpose has been lost. According to modern-day religion, you can do anything you want—as long as you maintain the appearance. All actions have been reduced to outward form.
