Well Venice is awesome. But I don’t think the core audience is the same. Venice is very crypto native and censorship resistance maximalist.

Proton is privacy focused. This is might seem like a semantic narrative difference but it will affect how the products are built. I appreciate both and use Venice all the time.

Oh good points, good distinction. Am not plugged in enough to judge Venice, do you feel like the team is legit? There was some bad press early on? I hold a little  VVV bc was curious and wanted to support them

I don’t recall the bad press. Eric Vorhees and I disagree on many things, but I think, within what he believes, he is ideologically very consistent and there is great benefit to the projects he entertains. I don’t know any of the rest of the team. 

I will say, GPT 4o still smokes everything else. I keep trying closed and open, web, and local models and nothing comes close for my needs.
