watched it, nice vid! I think UBI - in its current context - is more of a control mechanism by the government, it isn't meant to solve problems per se, it is meant to act as a political mechanism to redistribute 'wealth' (ie. taxes to citizens). Maybe there are ways to guarantee an income floor for those who's income is below certain thresholds, but the whole UBI model essentially incentivizes joblessness in many of its current iterations. I think your view works only if incentivization of business creation is strong, which conversely requires lower taxation and other incentives. AI can replace jobs, but it will also open new opportunities. Complex subject, cool video style.

Thanks for the kinds words 🙏 Yes, I'm not really sure UBI as its commonly presented and tested is effective at scale...I don't think it really addresses underlying problems. My loosely held idea (and I acknowledge, it's far from perfect), is a better approach is to have people "do things" and figure out ways to allocate those things to people who want them. In a very general sense, it's about shifting the paradigm away from income/consuming to productivity/contributing. And yeah totally, it would require much less barriers/points of friction. Thanks again for watching it and taking the time to comment thoughtfully 49 $degen 1134👏
