Creating a new account will autofollow 100 of the most influential accounts on Farcaster today. You’ll also be able unfollow them ofc and add others we think are great, too. The feed’s North Star goal is to lean more heavily on generative recommendations (GenRecs), but we’re not quite there yet.

i agree with you on this but i thought we were talking about the problem of generated feed for new users not follow recs

Ah yeah gotcha. It’s a combo of both. People need to follow others to start the graph. The feed should have a few features. Won’t be purely generative! When we get closer to feed tuning will reach out 👍

hell yeah, read the whitepaper on the github when you get the chance! it's basically an embeddings approach to identifying disparate topics showing a new user some then doing a binary search to find their sweet spot for recs
