Can someone explain to me why requiring an ID for voting in the US is such a controversial topic? Coming from France, it's inconceivable that someone could vote without justifying officially who they are first. I think most countries with ID systems work like that for voting, no? 🤷♂️

That is a very bad, extremely biased piece of blog! 😂 Their main arguments for the fact that it doesn't prevent fraud is: 1/Fraud is not that big to begin with (???) 2/They only acknowledge identified fraud cases as actual fraud. A funny thing later in the blog, about their opinion: "The League of Women Voters supports free, fair, and accessible elections for all eligible Americans, and we oppose efforts to create barriers that block citizens from fully participating in our democracy. Voting is the one time when all citizens have an equal say in our government." To which I would ask: Ok, but how do you prove you're a citizen then?
