I often say I’ve had a camera in my hand as long as I can remember, & that my mother handed down her old Minolta 110 film camera to me when I was 5 or 6. Today, I found some of my oldest photos… told you I took photos of frogs, turtles, & toads in my backyard. (My toes too.)

Love the photo and learn of your early beginnings. This is so amazing to hear. My first camera was a Rolleiflex and was given to me by my mother. I wish I still had it. Do you have your Minolta?

No, by the time she handed it down to me, I think the door to load the film was taped shut with either duct tape (my dad’s favorite) or maybe black electrical tape. I am sure I killed it not long after I got it. 🤣
