Around 4 months now of zero processed sugar treats/sweets and only the odd gram or 2 that sneak in through a savoury dish. Every once in a while my wife makes some homemade ice cream with no sugar (we use vanilla, peanut butter or fruits for flavor) and it does the trick for me! I’m gonna keep the (almost) no sugar life going for the foreseeable future!

good for you, breech! how strict are you with sugar? when i did Whole 30 it really opened my eyes to how much of the food we eat has sugar in it (like bacon, ketchup, some salad dressings even). i was kinda mind blown.

Strict to the point of not a single sugary treat has been eaten, but if a salad dressing or something has a gram or whatever in a serving I’m not too concerned. My last bloodwork came back as pre-diabetic, so I’m really out to avoid high processed sugar stuff that causes insulin spikes and will keep me in the pre-diabetic range. I’ll have to get some new bloodwork in a couple months and see if 6 months of (almost) no sugar has brought my levels back down! 🤞 💜
