We don't need micro tipping on FC. 

Blockchain needs micro transactions for international payments, but Farcaster needs a way to tip great content $3-$5 so that 5-8 people tip & creator makes $15-$20, not $0.33

Not a knock at all on @noiceapp @tipn & others! Appreciate what they are doing & I'm watching & learning. Open to correction--'loosely held'

That’s a great sentiment. The problem is a lot of us. Don’t even have that kind of funding to be able to tip creators like that and tip people so we do with what we can and hope that there’s ways that we can get funded for bigger payouts for others too.

Interesting. I tend to think of the best content coming from those that aren't near the top of the leaderboard. So you're comment helps me check my thinking on sentiment. If I listed the best content each week on FC, in my mind it would hardly ever have top people on the leaderboard. It would be videos, writing, art, and content that they quietly build and 20 people see. Appreciate your thoughts!

I feel like that’s even more divisive than it should be because if you look at like leaderboard and follower counts, it is so skewed that at least even if it’s pennies that can add up at times versus sitting there and giving to folks who continually get the money, leaving the rest of us begging for table scraps

Yes, agreed. I'm thinking about how degen has been for the last year + ... the allowances are pretty big and people could give a few bigger tips or lots and lots of little ones. Also with noice, 100s of 1000s of pennies are going out. Wondering if it would be better if we had a culture where we all tip 2 or 3 pieces of great content each week rather than 100s of nickels. And wondering if there could be a coin like degen that could create it. Thanks!
