could you elaborate on “retrieve the vegetables”?

We’re part of a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture)! So every Tuesday we go on a quest to retrieve that weeks vegetables. 

You get an assortment of what’s in season from local farms. This week we got carrots, radishes, leeks, shishito peppers, cabbage, corn, and garlic scapes!

Such an incredible haul and experience. It would be amazing if more cultures were like this and produce was easily accessible reminding me that I really need to hit up farmers market this year.

This was an especially good one. Sometimes we get things even the Assistants have never heard of, but that's kind of fun too because they get to experiment with something new. The worst week are the ones that are greens, there is only so much salad the Assistants can eat.
