Us also! My kids are 6 and 8 now and I think that’s been fine. The main tenets of respecting their interests and giving them space to be creative, etc. can permeate through modern life and we have found e don’t need to be super strict about it.

We do our best to do the same but it can be a drag when she overestimates her endurance and needs to be dragged back
