Quick thoughts: I still think social platforms will capture most of the network value by owning distribution, then redistribute it to creators. Feels like the default until proven otherwise. Don’t think we’ll see meaningful p2p creator economies — but keeping an open mind.

Feels like owning distribution is just a rebranded monopoly. Real progress looks like collective bargaining or protocol level competition

Not really—anyone can build a frontend and compete, so no one can lock down the network. The best product wins, and the ones that share earnings fairly with creators will attract users.

True, you can fork the frontend. But can you fork the social graph and distribution power? That’s the real moat imo

Yeah, it’s easier with Farcaster since users stay within the same network, but you still need to convince them to onboard to your app/client and stick around.
