MMY CRITERIA FOR 
JUDGING NEOLOGISMS

1 Phonetically pleasing 	 		
Appropriate alliteration, rhyme 

2 Familiar
Sounds, looks or feels like a familiar or popular word, term or phrase

3 Funny
Contains humorous content

4 Timely
Something that is relevant right now based on recent occurences or events

5 Personal
Directly related to the definer or specific others

6 Universal
Something anyone can relate to

7 Originality/Perceptive 
Points to something subtle or original 

8 Referential 
Refers or alludes to something cultural or historical 

9 Philosophical
Makes a philosophical point 

10 Visual 
Contains a great picture

you created

We love to worship 
these singular creative
figures like Steve Jobs 
and Elon Musk and 
Satoshi

But the truth is 
that all creativity 
is a team effort

It's often inspired in 
conversation and 
collaboration. 

We should be 
building and fixing 
functionality 
that enables us to 
share the credit 
for the inspiration 
for the original insight. 

At a taime when 
ideas are so important 
and idea flow is so important, 
it's more important than ever 
that we be able to 
share the initial credit. 

Sad that existing platforms 
default us into credit stealing.
