Web3 BD looks flashy. Big salaries. Fat commissions. "Just send a few intros," right? That’s what I thought — until I got in. Here’s what I’ve actually learned: 1️⃣ Most DMs go unanswered. Even if you bring value. People are burned out, ghosting is default. Replies are earned — with patience, clarity & real effort. 2️⃣ Intros don’t close deals — people do. You can have a big network, but if you can’t position, communicate, and follow up, nothing moves. Founders don’t need “connectors” — they need closers. 3️⃣ No one trusts you at first. It’s Web3. Everyone’s anon. Scams are everywhere. You build trust one honest convo, one win at a time. No shortcuts. No scripts. Just your grind, empathy, and ability to bring real value.
