Chebika Oasis is located in western Tunisia near the Algerian border, at the foot of the Djebel el Negueb mountains.
Known as the “Castle of the Sun,” this breathtaking mountain oasis is one of the widest in the world. In ancient times, it served as a Roman outpost and later became a mountain refuge for the Berber people. However, in 1969, the original village was tragically destroyed by a flood, leaving behind only ruins. A new village has since been built nearby.
Nestled in the heart of the mountains, Chebika Oasis feels like a magical slice of paradise. Visitors can relax in the cool shade of date palms, explore a warm spring, admire small waterfalls, and gaze into a strikingly beautiful blue lake.
