The breathtaking nature of Northern Vietnam attracts travelers from all over the world. One of its most iconic gems is Ha Long Bay, home to over 3,000 limestone islands that rise dramatically from the emerald waters of the Gulf of Tonkin. Covering an area of around 1,500 square kilometers, this magical landscape has drawn comparisons to Guilin in China and Krabi in southern Thailand. Beyond its extraordinary beauty, Ha Long Bay is steeped in myth. According to legend, it was created by a great Red Dragon who descended from the heavens—hence the name Ha Long, which translates to “the place where the dragon descended into the sea.” Locals believe the dragon still lives beneath the bay’s waters, like a Vietnamese version of the Loch Ness Monster, occasionally spotted by fishermen.

Chebika Oasis is located in western Tunisia near the Algerian border, at the foot of the Djebel el Negueb mountains. Known as the “Castle of the Sun,” this breathtaking mountain oasis is one of the widest in the world. In ancient times, it served as a Roman outpost and later became a mountain refuge for the Berber people. However, in 1969, the original village was tragically destroyed by a flood, leaving behind only ruins. A new village has since been built nearby. Nestled in the heart of the mountains, Chebika Oasis feels like a magical slice of paradise. Visitors can relax in the cool shade of date palms, explore a warm spring, admire small waterfalls, and gaze into a strikingly beautiful blue lake. The oasis gained international fame as a filming location for Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope and The English Patient.

Socotra Island, located in the Indian Ocean about 340 km off the coast of Yemen, is one of the most isolated continental-origin archipelagos in the world (meaning it is not volcanic in origin). The island features wide sandy beaches that transition into limestone plateaus full of caves, and mountains rising up to 1,525 meters. Socotra is rich in rare and unusual plant and animal species—over one-third of the island’s plant life is found nowhere else on the planet. Among them are the iconic Dragon Blood Tree, which resembles a giant umbrella; the Desert Rose, which looks like a flowering elephant's foot; and the bizarre, extremely rare Cucumber Tree.

The famous Haiku Stairs, also known as the Stairway to Heaven, is located on the Hawaiian island of O’ahu. This steep trail consists of 3,922 steps that ascend nearly vertically up the Koʻolau mountain range to a height of 850 meters (2,800 feet). The climb is so steep that at times it feels like you're floating in the sky — especially when the summit is shrouded in clouds. That surreal experience is what earned it the poetic nickname, "Stairway to Heaven."

Herdubreydalindir Oasis is one of the most remarkable and mysterious oases in the world. It is located in the highlands of Iceland, right in the middle of the world’s largest lava desert — Odadahraun. This enchanting oasis, with its tongue-twisting name, is surrounded not by sand, but by vast fields of volcanic lava created by the Trolladyngja volcano. Long ago, this remote and barren region was a refuge for outlaws — criminals banished from society. Today, it attracts curious travelers who come to hike through the cracked volcanic valleys, admire the surreal landscapes, or even dive into one of its nearby lakes. 😍

Not far from the town of Armoy in Northern Ireland lies a truly enchanting tunnel with a rather ominous name — The Dark Hedges. This is a stretch of Bregagh Road, flanked on both sides by 300-year-old beech trees. They were planted in the 18th century by the Stuart family to impress visitors arriving at their mansion. Over the centuries, the trees have grown tall and intertwined, forming a breathtaking natural tunnel. Sunlight filtering through the branches creates a magical atmosphere at any time of day, but The Dark Hedges is especially dramatic in mist or at dusk — resembling a scene from a Tim Burton film. Now leading to a golf club, this road has become one of Ireland's most photographed natural wonders and a favorite destination for tourists and photographers alike.😍 😍

This remarkable phenomenon is due to the surrounding cliffs, which are rich in a variety of garnet called spessartine. Over time, rain and ocean waves erode the cliffs, washing the colorful mineral down onto the beach. As the spessartine mixes with the sand, it creates breathtaking patterns in pink, lavender, maroon, and deep purple hues. The farther north you walk along the shoreline, the more intense and vivid the colors become.😍 😍

The Timia Oasis is rightfully called the “Pearl of the North.” Located in the northern part of the country at the foot of the Aïr Mountains — which translates to “moving northward” — it is one of the most beautiful oases in the Sahara Desert. This is not just a patch of greenery amid sand dunes, but a whole network of lush gardens in the heart of one of the most barren regions on Earth. The local Tuareg people herd livestock and cultivate grains, vegetables, and fruits here. There is even a small waterfall. After the scorching sands of the Sahara, Timia is a perfect place to relax in the shade of date palms, orange trees, and pomegranate groves.

One of Colombia's main natural attractions, the Cocora Valley (Valle de Cocora), is located in the northwest of the country, in the Quindío Department. Nestled in the lush Andes Mountains at an altitude of 1,800 to 2,400 meters, the valley is almost always shrouded in mist, giving the landscape a mystical and unique atmosphere. It is part of a National Park that belongs to the larger Los Nevados National Natural Park, which spans around four departments and covers an area of over 60,000 square kilometers. The Cocora Valley is also famous for being home to the wax palm, the tallest palm tree in the world and Colombia’s national tree.
