The next step is verifying blobs with PeerDAS, a conservative version of DAS that can offer some additional scaling. At first, we'll likely see some clients full-verifying and others doing DAS checks.

More and more advanced versions of DAS can be introduced over time.

I realize PeerDAS is not nearly ready yet, but I hope we see it fast-tracked for inclusion in the not too distant future. 384kbps of blob space per block isn't going to cut it for long and we need to get to the point where every validator doesn't need to download every single bit of chain data.

No question about it. We need more blobs, more blobs now! 
I hope with Pectra, at least we can get to 8 blobs per block. I think bandwidth is still the most important bottleneck that needs to be solved.
