"Computers don't have taste" – but I do

i keep coming back to this quote because i believe it captures our whole experience here. we search for ourselves outside ourselves in experiences, in goals, in other people.... life has a way of unfolding so precisely that you’re forced to step outside, almost like it’s saying: go see what you’re made of. and here’s the thing.. once you change on the inside, the outside never looks the same. the people, the places, even the silence... they feel different. and that’s what eliot meant, i think. we return to where we started and know the place for the first time. because we’ve become someone who can finally see it. — alucard
