Trump feels he needs to protect his bill and Elon feels the need to speak out against it. I don't like the bill in the slightest, so regardless of Elon's personal reasons to come out against it I am glad to see he is. He doesn't do a lot these days that I agree with.

I see what you’re saying, I also understand then reasoning. Elons hands are not clean. So hopefully he’s doing this to show that he cares that millions of Americans are up a creek with this bill. I’m probably wrong. What I hope more so is that he doesn’t start to chicken out

No, he's doing this because Tesla will be hurt when electric vehicle subsidies go away and I do think he genuinely cares about wasteful spending/debt. I honestly don't think he cares about poor people losing Medicaid and SNAP benefits. So while his motivations might not be the same as mine, we do have the same goal: to end the bill.
