the dichotomy of farcaster is that: 

while.. most consumer social products need to embrace the fact that SEA is their DAU farm

they've prevented spam, by: 
> $2 entry fees
> twt account older than 18months or has 300 followers 

which is great. i see why they do it. to keep it high quality / high signal. but then the denominator goes from 1bn scale to ~1m high signal X accounts. (assuming X is their top of the funnel, rn)

SEA launch seems to be imminent. 

I wonder how this will affect the market.
