I absolutely love jerky but it’s so damn expensive so that’s what I’ve been thinking, go to like Costco or BJs for a nice big cut of beef to make it and save a ton of money making my own, I only buy it on special occasions like little day trips or something

I would do that, make 3 or 4 different marinades, then dry it all at the same time. Deer jerky is my favorite!

Omg growing up I had a friend who’s dad was big into hunting and always made venison jerky now I’m having memories AND drooling

My dad used to have a smoke shack and he would make sausage, so good!! I was raised on venison, well really anything my dad shot was dinner whether you wanted it or not 🤣

Lmao that’s awesome though, I mean not so much anymore for you but I wish I had the time to get into it. Has a similar feel to growing your food. You know where it comes from, you’re able to respect it properly and enjoy all of it properly
