Is this DApp just for interacting with the contract? Or is there any other functionality?

Yea, so you can quickly design a whitelabel frontend for any contract without writing Javascript (if you don't want to).

Universal frontend on https://monobase.xyz/ will already generate a nice frontend for all functions of a contract. I’m curious how the hackathon idea above differs from it?

What if I don't want all the functions? What if I want 3 functions, with a logo and a few paragraphs of instructions? What if I want it to be yellow? What if I want it to be hosted on my own domain, or generated locally? Etc.

Oh I see. I agree customization would be great. But WebComponents might be a bit too low level abstraction to implement universal components don’t you think?

The authoring experience 😅 might be easier to do it in something like React (I really like shadcn UI approach)

WebComponents are reusable with every other reactive framework (Vue, Svelte, etc), even React has shims for it. I'm so tired of everything being React (that can't be used with anything else). -_-
