309👏 I agree 100%, and your point about the lifecycle is spot on. For myself, I’m looking at it with the lens of “infinite games” and “finite games”. The underlying feeling of dissatisfaction i think people are feeling comes from individual assumptions about what type of “game” is being played. I feel a lot of traders or the content creators in this case innately assume they’re participating in an infinite game; there’s no winners or losers, because there’s no end point. The disconnect comes when a player enters and unilaterally decides to make it a finite game with themselves as the Winner. They declare “Game Over!”, cash out, and everyone else is left with a sense of outrage. It’s this disconnect and philosophical framing the underpins my current project SecondOrder.fun; by declaring up front that the coins have Time Limited Utility that for the purposes of a single finite game ends at the Terminal Value Event, we can reduce that post-dump “hangover”. Incentives.
