I believe in the next 24 hours the US Air Force will hit Iran's Fordo nuclear facility with two B-2 bombers equipped with GBU-57 bunker busters. These guided bomb units are massive ordinance penetrators (MOPs) that weigh about 30,000 lbs each. They are precision guided and can only be carried via B-2s. This facility is located about 80-90 meters below the mountain ridge. A single bunker buster can penetrate down about 60 meters. These two bombers have been in place at the Diego Garcia island base the last couple months. There are multiple refueling planes are in place around the region including on the way to Iran in Qatar. Trump was supposed to do a speech/follow up to his National Security Council meeting today, but that never came. He can use the War Powers Act to basically do whatever he wants for 60 days without Congressional authorization.

I remember the day Israel dropped around 83 tons of those bunker busters missiles. I was less than 500m away from the site, one of the most horrifying moments.

GPUs were used daily in the last Lebanese-Israeli war. Bunker busters were used twice in the assassination attempts on Hezbollah supreme leaders Hassan Nasrallah and Hashim Safi al-Din. The video shows the use of 83 tons of explosive materials, as reports stated. The other site had an attack involving 70 tons. Both targeted locations sustained significant damage to the surrounding residential areas even after all the renovations done after war those two sites especailly needs years to be build again. Bunker busters destroys the underground bases of the area which is the hardest part to renovate.
