Countdown to the Switch 2's launch - 15 days I'm going to highlight one thing I am excited for each day as we countdown to the console's release early next month. Today I want to take a look at the screen on the system. Switch 2 has a 7.9-inch wide color gamut LCD screen capable of outputting at 1080p (1920x1080). In size terms, this is a big upgrade from Switch 1's 6.2-inch screen, the Switch OLED's 7-inch screen, and the Switch Lite's 5.5-inch screen. The Switch 2's screen is about 30% longer on the diagonal than the screen on the original Switch and 8% longer on the diagonal / 11% larger in overall area than Valveβs 7.4 inch Steamdeck OLED display. There is also support for HDR10 and VRR up to 120 Hz, which means games can jump up to 120fps if they and your setup allow it.

I read somewhere that the vrr is only for handheld mode as the dock's output doesn't support. I hope that is incorrect information. Stoked for this! Have 2 pre-ordered so we can go head 2 head and test the cart sharing (idk the exact terminology) day one

Hmm not sure, I typically play docked though. Only on handheld would make sense as I pull this from info about the screen.
