@dwr.eth said at a dinner that SF is the place for serious founders to be if they want to be successful.

That opinion is deeply unpopular among founders, yet these same people tell me how helpful it must be that I’m connected to Naval.

Most SF first-time founders I know have some kind of tech superstar connection.

I don’t disagree that SF is still one of the hubs of innovation but to discredit NY as a legitimate comparison is just off base in every way imo

More top movies are filmed in Atlanta than LA. LA is still the home of the film industry.

If you study the history of Silicon Valley, you’ll see there is no reason to be insulted.

It feels insinuated by saying “SF is the place for serious founders”. NYC feels just as serious to me. This may be a misunderstanding of context but I read it as such.
