I'm sure many of you have watched or at least heard of the show South Park. Well, finally, after so many years of living in Colorado, I'm going to visit the town it was based on. It was originally called Fair Play and then South Park and then reverted to Fairplay (one word). I'm going to the area (about 2 hours drive from me) to go visit an area north of there to photograph Bristlecone Pines. But the whole area is super interesting and I'll be staying in Fairplay:

I know it's not totally based on that town. Probably a generic version of various Colorado mountain towns. But the name is there at least. LOL I haven't been to Buena Vista either. Probably passed through on the way to climb Mt Elbert in 2005. I did visit Leadville before, which is likely a similar high altitude mountain town. Have you explored a lot of Colorado?
