The course that kickstarted my design career is now free: productizeyourself.co (code: FREE) I paid $150 for it in May 2023 In July I sold my first subscription, then 4 in September, 5 in October and my monthly fee is now at $5k/mo. I would not be where I am without this course. As a quick estimate, ROI is about 600x and well on the way to 1,000x I remember people in the Discord who wanted Brett to do more AMAs and be active in the community, but I couldn't care less because the course fired me up so much I could only think about taking action Like all simple and hard truths, it's underwhelming; it pretty much amounts to "guys it's literally just a Trello board and a landing page, idk what else to tell you" I can think of very few people that did more than Brett to make design accessible and worthwhile, both for designers and for clients So yeah, get this thing https://x.com/BrettFromDJ/status/1931090499261341919

I got started in ~2005 with a short course during high school (I'm 1990). I searched this out because I realised my prev chosen profession in comic books was gonna be uphill without the upside. But then I moved to London in 2008 and got uh, distracted. Always kept designing on the side, but always off the books, low volume, not for clients (so not professionally). I did try to get a design job several times, was rejected every time. Portfolio and resume never looked the part and I guess I never really wanted it. Design also changed a lot in 20 years. When COVID hit I was doing residential sales; lockdown put that on hold indefinitely. That's when I thought, might as well give design another shot. I made this to find my bearings (https://antimofm.gumroad.com/l/condensedintelligentdesigner) and slowly found my way to Twitter, then Farcaster.
