I think we are emerging from the post-Friday attack euphoria (euphoria in come circles in the Western press, that is) in which there’s a stark realization forming: Damage to Iran’s military infrastructure and command and control has been overstated Damage to Israeli civilian and military infrastructure has been understated Iran is a huge country with a missile arsenal that is existential for Israel If the escalation doesn’t stop, direct US military involvement is a must for ensuring Israel’s viability (or there has to be a ceasefire with nuclear talks brokered by Russia/China, because no one trusts the US anymore) If the escalation doesn’t stop and the US doesn’t intervene militarily or allow for a brokering of a ceasefire for nuclear talks, then Israel going nuclear in terms of strikes becomes more likely as Iranian missile attacks decimate critical infrastructure These comments are not pro or against either side. Just trying to be impartial, bearing in mind that I am sometimes retarded

Jesus, this is getting very dire. I would love to see USA out of ceasefire talks.
