I recently tried to make my own Farcade game but it didn't work out. Need more patience and advice from the pros haha.

Co-founder of Ragnarok Games, but in my free time I get lost in mini-games on /farcade, pixel art, and scattered snapshots.

I can't get pictures to link to characters, add normal mechanics to the game.

I had this idea to make a life simulator.
Where you have to summon characters that go to fight. it's probably a complicated game to start with and you should have made something really simple to understand everything

I was hitting multiple roadblocks with my game (first time working with HTML) got me down for a couple days 
But I think I'll take this approach and break the game down to figure it out

Yes maybe you should have started with something simpler, anyway to add the images. 

You upload them in the asset tab of farcade studio, click url to fetch the link and tell the ai that you want to use that image and for what.

As for the mechanics, you should break the game down into many smaller pieces and then assemble them manually

example you could start with just the character moving in 4 directions, when it works you add shooting, when it works you add enemies and so on
