Well this is ironic. We just had a re-org and I was part of the “RIF” of a very sizable chunk of the company due to the current attack on renewables. 

On my 10 year work anniversary 😢

I’ve loved this job, I love my colleagues and the work they’re doing. 

What an interesting feeling, having this relationship come to an end. It’s very ￼upsetting and also peaceful. Lots of emotions. 

The sun will still shine and so will I ￼￼￼☀️

Thanks, it is a confluence of many emotions for sure. I’ve spent my entire career with this organization, so it’s a bit of an identity crisis. But there’s also some peace with it. I’m fortunate I have a really great support network to help me navigate these emotions

I also feel like it’s a millennial right of passage? I evaded so many over the years at my company but what Trump and Chris Wright (secretary of energy) are doing is really gutting the clean energy space. 

It’s so depressing for real. Not for my job but for like humanity. I loved my job but I’ll be ok. What I was doing mattered 😣

That’s tough. I’m also weary of my position / company since most of our work is with government health agencies. Best wishes and luck 💖
