So many Gigabrains here I was inspired to not only read but read non fiction. This book has been at the very top of my list for a while. Nice to get a sober history lesson on an issue that is massive and also muddied in the press, to say the least. Thanks Warpcasters and esp our reporter friends.

Khalidi is very thorough. The Iron Cage, if you havenβt read it, is his best book, imo. And I found that reading Avi Shlaimβs The Iron Wall, followed by The Iron Cage, was most illuminating π

Ahhh ok. I may just read that bc even though the subject matter is vast and convoluted at times he really did a great job communicating it all.
