ETH price tops $2.8K as options traders open bearish positions: Are bears wrong? ETH $2,781 price surged 10% between Monday and Tuesday, reaching its highest level in over 15 weeks. Despite this rally, ETH has consistently struggled to break above the $2,800 mark over the past month. This resistance level has coincided with a growing use of downside protection strategies in ETH derivatives markets. In addition to standard call (buy) and put (sell) options, traders often use combinations of instruments to design strategies aimed at either maximizing gains above certain levels or reducing exposure to losses. As a result, tracking demand for these options offers insights into how professional traders are positioning themselves.

We added auth address support to our SIWF flows! Signing a SIWF message from a registered auth address will now resolve to a Farcaster account on Privy! We're also working on some account management (like auto-linking those auth addresses to your Privy user) to make things even smoother!

You know what AI is really good at though. Looking for *existing* drugs that might be used off label to treat rare diseases In the US, this guy Dr. David Fajgenbaum is #1 one of the most well known guys doing this work. He put his own rare disease in remission using existing meds and then opened a lab to help others “Other laboratory discovery techniques have already put drug repurposing on the map. A.I. just puts rocket boosters on that” “Many drugs do more than one thing. Their additional features sometimes get characterized as side effects. If you comb through enough drugs, you eventually find the side effect you’re looking for, and then that becomes the main effect.” https://www.nytimes.com/2025/03/20/well/ai-drug-repurposing.html

Australia rolls out new crypto ATM rules as feds flag rising scams Australia’s national financial intelligence agency has rolled out new operating rules and transaction limits for crypto ATM operators, as federal police say scams through the kiosks are on the rise. The Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (AUSTRAC) is enforcing a 5,000 Australian dollar ($3,250) limit on cash deposits and withdrawals on crypto ATMs, scam warning signs, more robust transaction monitoring and enhanced customer due diligence obligations, the agency said in a June 3 press release shared with Cointelegraph. Currently, the limits only apply to crypto ATM providers; however, AUSTRAC expects crypto exchanges operating in Australia to “consider imposing similar limits if they accept cash for crypto transactions.”

Bitcoin stalls at $110K but institutional investors continue gobbling up BTC Bitcoin is stuck below $110,000 due to macroeconomic uncertainty and as Nvidia earnings anticipation caps risk appetite. Strong spot BTC ETF inflows and Bitcoin options data are hints that US economic clarity could unlock BTC highs. Investor sentiment improved on May 26 after US President Donald Trump postponed his retaliatory European Union 50% tariffs on imports. European stock markets responded positively to the development, but Bitcoin BTC $108,364 was unable to hold the $110,000 level, leading traders to question whether a new all-time high remains within reach. Even if Bitcoin revisits the $105,000 mark, rising institutional interest and robust derivatives markets indicate that bullish traders are neither overleveraged nor concerned about a potential correction.

For my personal use, crypto is in a great place. Fees, speeds, wallet UX, applications are perfectly fine for my usecases, and they'll keep getting better. However, I'd like to see some things significantly improved, in order of importance: - CRITICAL: Configurable withdrawal rate limiting in Safe & smart wallets and indeed, in all smart contracts, should be a standard. Without this, I significantly limit my usage of crypto - Custodial standards for smart wallets - Stage 2+ decentralisation for L2s, complete overhaul for Tron (normies receive USDT on Tron) - EUR stables w/ liquidity - Better frontends & standards - More competition & options for minimal hardware wallets - Range order management for Uniswap V4 - Significantly less volatile, reliable, long-term sustainable and high liquidity SoVs (BTC and ETH are far too erratic) - Integration into widely adopted payment networks, both global and domestic - Some inaccessible assets tokenised as RWAs - Farcaster with bustling non-crypto content/discussions
