New: Collectibles! 

Support your favorite creators by collecting their casts onchain. Each cast can be turned into a unique, 1-of-1 collectible. Just tap the new "collect" icon on a cast to get started. 

Casts can be collected starting at $1. If there are multiple collectors, it goes to the highest bidder. Creators get 90% collectible earnings, and the remaining 10% goes to the protocol rewards. 

We’re excited about collectibles for a few reasons: 
1. Creators earn directly from their audience
2. New creators can earn on their first day
3. Users get to collect a unique piece of Farcaster history

Collectibles will go live tomorrow morning around 9am PT. We're announcing this early so people can be ready to collect their favorite casts when the feature is live!

When you build a mini app to solve a problem. And then the next week Farcaster releases a full native solution. 

That said - plenty of use cases for MiniMint.app when you want a multiple editions.

yeah, I read the launch post this morning and it didnt even occur to me that the two were competing. Quite different IMO (aside from "turn a thing into an nft")

In my particular case: I would rather have had many people hold an edition than run a 24h auction and just 1 person gets it.

Also, can make custom collection contract for it, easier to track. All neatly in one place.

Maybe I'm not seeing it, but aside from "mint a cast" (which would be great for a project launch announcement), I think good old nft minting as with @minimint-app still offers a ton more flexibility

That’s true enough. Though my starting point was to make it easy for people to make old school NFTs rather than coins. FC just smashed that!

And to take your case of documentation of your walk and fund raising why use @minimint-app over native FC integration?
