Farcaster

Farcaster is an economy, that we can measure by how much activity (both on and off-chain) it generates.

To that effect I've been working on a Farcaster Economy Dashboard (https://dune.com/0xluc/farconomy)

It's quite not ready, but I'm boosted today and I need feedback and suggestions!

besides 'made it' chains, imho the most-used infras in the next few years are being built now by the best dapp devs not the best chain devs. best consumer-facing dapps finding their niches growing user-based and building bits of underlying infra satisfying their needs is also the proven 
amazon 's way in web2 world. on the top of my head, Hyperliquid is following the playbook the best.

A lot of chatter recently about Farcaster, marketing and expanding beyond crypto

I have yet to see a crisp definition of:

1. What problem does Farcaster solve for people outside of crypto today?

2. What evidence exists that existing  at-scale free social networks and paid creator tools / platforms are insufficient in serving these people?

3. Assuming this population exists, what channel (i.e. tactics) do you market Farcaster to said people?

I'm not asking for free work, fwiw. It's our job to figure to this out (we don't have an answer for this question ourselves). 

But hiring a "marketing team" when you don't have an answer to this question is not going to solve the problem.

Marketing works great when you have a clear value prop and target market and channel.

if you require web3 apps to get rid of financial speculation and try to solve some 'real' problems, it's hard especially in the infancy of crypto consumer apps like now. there's no chance for these apps to compete with web2 consumer apps in terms of making users more satisfied in using. the competition crypto consumer apps can be involved should be on the feature level, not the ux level, which is now enabling financial speculation on the financialized layer of apps.

We have the oversupply of blockspace but don't have enough app devs and distribution channels. I do believe warpcast as a distribution channel can change the scene.

Looking at the numbers, looks like Frame hasn't been an effective on-chain contract distribution solution.

Thoughts? Which Frame you have interacted with and see many others also did like ya? curious to know how the Frame owner distributed their stuff
