Heard a conspiracy theory that the entire thing was setup to fail from the beginning, because the goal was actually to do one big audit to find where the money flows. Could be a case of moving the goalposts of course but at the very least they did get into the weeds of many government contracts to get information on that. Of course Elon Musk would be the biggest beneficiary of that information since he now has information on data and software procurement.
