experiencing your kid learning a new skill - like sitting up, saying their first word etc. is pure joy. i did not expect it. hard to put it in words how you feel.

As a mum of two with a big age gap, I really suggest writing down some of these memories! It’s crazy how fast they grow and how easy it is to forget not just the milestones, but all those little funny moments too!

I try to avoid talking about my kids the way an alcoholic avoids bars

But I’m making an exception here for the most EV+ tip for new parents:

Every Sunday night, sit for an hour with your partner and write stories about your kids

They change fast and ~everything else is planning-before-you-get-punched-in-the-mouth
